  • Hohoe Reservoir, Dayi river
  • Lipke Kukurantumi, Dayi river
  • Wli Falls, Nuboi river
  • Tsatsudo Falls, Tsadudo river
  • Dodi Papase, Asukawkaw river
  • Ahamasu 1, Asukawkaw river
  • Ahamasu 2, Asukawkaw river
  • Menusu, Menu river
  • Afife dam, Klipka river

The preliminary study consists in:

  • the determination of the amount of the monthly average flow rate for the single analysed river
  • the identification of the usable flow rate for the production of electricity
  • the identification of the type of the equipment to use
  • the approximate costs for the construction of the single plant and the economic analysis of the plant

Waterworks Energy: Visit to Ghana’s Volta Region https://eqoproject.com/?p=460 Thu, 05 Feb 2015 10:25:56 +0000 http://eqoproject.com/?p=460 EQO Project was invited by the Paramount Chief of Asogli, Togbe Afede XIV, to visit the Volta Region in the Republic of Ghana to perform a first examination of 8 sites with prospects for smal hydroelectric power plants.

The sites were recommended by a feasibility study developed by the Ghanaian government to improve the production of renewable energy.

EQO Project was asked to

  • estimate the potential annual power generation in kWh
  • compile general criteria for the realization of the power plants
  • evaluate the project impact on environment and landscape
  • rate the potential development of the hydrologic cycle in respect of drinking water supply and wastewater management.

A visit report was hand in to the Ghanaian partners and a continuative survey by EQO Project of the potential sites is planned for March 2015.

Waterworks Energy – Project Development https://eqoproject.com/?p=166 Sat, 20 Dec 2014 14:31:37 +0000 http://eqoproject.com/?p=166 Mini and Micro power stations (50 to 300 kW) installed inside existing water networks to exploit the pressure of water for the production of energy.Secondary use of natural resources permits a boost in profitability of water supply networks, with small investments and quick returns.
Small power plants can be fundamental for the development of small and marginal communities which are not fully connected to major infrastructure networks.
In summary, small investment quick returns.
